1970 Chevron B16 at Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort
In total 23 Chevron B16’s are built with different power plants; the 1598cc Ford Cosworth engine for the first two cars. This engine was replaced by a 1790 cc Cosworth engine which produced more power (235 BHP at 8750rpm). Later on these engines were replaced by a 1990,8cc BMW M-10 engine which produces 220 BHP at 7800 rpm. All these engines were attached to a Hewland FT200 five speed gearbox.
