IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 3750 in 18K Yellow Gold
IWC came to Baselworld in 1995 with the introduction of the IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph with reference numer 3570. At this time this was definitely the lowest prices perpetual calendar on the market; the retail price was only half of the perpetual calendar with the lowest retail price before IWC launched the Da Vinci. What makes this IWC Da Vinci 3750 even more special is the addition of the chronograph; if we compare the price of this Da Vinci with other perpetual calendars with chronograph function from that time the price difference is ever higher.
The movement inside is the Caliber 79261 from IWC; this movement has 39 jewels and a power reserve of 44 hours. This movement was a very popular movement for perpetual calendar and therefore this movement can be seen in the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Perpetual and IWC Novecento Perpetual as well.
This watch comes in a 18K yellow gold 39mm diameter case and is about 14,5mm thick. The watch is water resistant and has a screw down caseback en screw down crown which makes it water resistint to 30 meters. What keeps on fascinating me are the moveable lugs which make it very easy to wear and also gives the watch an even more special appearance.
