Martini Lancia Rally 037 at Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Lancia Rally 037 which is also called the Lancia Abarth #037 was introduced in 1982 and about 200 were built. The car competed in the Group B rally championship between 1982 and 1985. Lancia chose to use a rear wheel drive car with a 4 cylinder 2 litre engine with compressor to have a fast throttle response in comparison to the turbocharged competitors. The engine was a DOHC engine with 16 valves and Weber caburetor. The first models produced up to 285 horsepower but later on they changed to an injection motor which produced up to 250 HP.
