McLaren F1GTR #01R at Goodwood Festival of Speed
The McLaren F1GTR was a racing variant of the street version of the McLaren F1 which was introduced in 1995. The most famous vistory of the F1GTR was back in 1995 when it won the 24 hours of Le Mans. The Mclaren F1GTRs were race internationally until 2005 when the final race chassis was retired.
This particular model which competed in the hillclimb of Goodwood Festival of Speed was the first modified McLaren F1 chassis that came from the factory. This was the first F1GTR called #01R which was the one that one the 24 hours of lemans in 1995. After their win in 1995 this particular car was retired immediately and was put in a museum.
