Omega Flightmaster 145.013 with tropical MKI dial from 1969
This Omega Flightmaster 145.013 is one of the first generation flightmasters. The Flightmaster Ref.145.013 was introduced in 1969 and made until 1974 and was equipped with a manual wound movement. The movement inside the Flightmaster is a modified Cal. 861 which we know from the Speedmaster. These first generation were equipped with a 24 hour hand at the 9 o’clock marker, the second generation has a second hand in place of the 24 hour hand.
This particular Flightmaster has a beautiful so called ‘tropical’ dial with beautifully aged hands. Please note that the watch has 7 hands and 5 crowns. The crowns / pushers are all marked with the same colour as the hands.
